Pirros closes $15 million series-A round to serve architecture and engineering firms

December 15, 2025

LOS ANGELES-December 15, 2025: Pirros—the leading content intelligence platform for the architecture and engineering sectors—today announced the completion of a $15m Series A funding round led by Elephant Ventures.

The funding will allow Pirros to further the development of its industry-leading content intelligence platform, and to continue to deepen its value for architecture and engineering firms around the world.

Within architecture and engineering in this case, the term “content” refers to representations of elements within a building created before construction begins. A 3D model of a building may contain tens of thousands of content pieces. If one is inaccurate or low-quality, it creates liability and impacts construction.

Despite the importance of this content to the success of a construction project, engineers and architects have long lacked a modern, agile way to access, update, and share it across colleagues and teams.

As a result, work is duplicated, and design teams inadvertently find themselves using outdated or inaccurate content. Additionally, simply finding and updating content is a long and tedious process. This is what Pirros is on a mission to fix, as recently featured by ENR.

Jordan Hague, principal at DCI Engineers and Pirros customer says:

"In only a few months, Pirros has changed how we prepare engineering drawings and project documentation. We have over 350 engineers all over the country, so knowledge sharing is key. It was a challenge to avoid reinventing the wheel on every project.”

Pirros’s platform provides a cloud-native way to manage this design content at scale. Its founding team, Ari Baranian and Peter Johann are structural engineers turned entrepreneurs who both recognized the difficulties associated with design content, especially within large organizations where tens of thousands of assets may be in play at any time.

The platform works with Revit files used throughout the industry, ingesting that content and applying intelligence and automation to it, including an AI-powered semantic and visual search, analytics, and version control. This results in dramatic productivity and quality improvements for firms.

Architects and engineers make an outsized impact on our built world, yet are historically underserved by technology and devalued by the structure of a commercial construction project. In today's AEC market, design captures a shrinking share of project economics, revenue growth has lagged construction for years, and margins for these firms are under pressure. Pirros exists to change this by unlocking the horizontal data across projects so teams can move faster, reduce risk, and deliver better outcomes—without starting from scratch every time.

This Series A funding is an investment that Pirros will channel directly into continued innovation for architects and engineers, including quality management.

Pirros previously raised an initial $2m seed round in 2023, which saw participation from YCombinator, FundersClub, and Twenty Two Ventures. Angels participating in the round included former Autodesk CEO Carl Bass, Joseph Walla of Hello Sign, and Ryan Sutton-Gee of PlanGrid. The A round sees continued participation from previous investors, YCombinator and FundersClub, in addition to new angels Ara Mahdessian and Vahe Kuzoyan, co-founders of Service Titan.

Pirros has been profitable since its seed round, and Elephant Ventures brings expertise in how to accelerate growth while also remaining laser-focused on profitability.

In a statement, Pirros CEO Ari Baranian, said: “As a company, our mission is to help AE professionals work faster, smarter, and with higher-quality deliverables, while also building an enduring, profitable business. Elephant Venture’s focus aligns with that goal, and it brings invaluable expertise in how to scale ambitious technology products while remaining in the black. We’re excited for what the future will bring,” he added.
