Pirros adds AI-powered QA/QC to Revit with its Quality Management System
Pirros now reviews a whole Revit project before it goes out the door. The new Quality Management System checks the set against your firm's standards, building codes, project specifications and model health, then shows your reviewers where to look. AEC Magazine covered the launch on October 7, describing a system that can "check entire Revit projects against codes, standards, specifications, and model performance." Your standards are already in
Most QA/QC drawing checkers start with homework: upload a checklist, author a ruleset, export the set to PDF. Pirros already holds the details, families and standards your firm works to, so the review has its reference from day one. There's nothing to upload and no ruleset to author.
One review, five references
Point the Quality Management System at an active project and it reviews every sheet in a single run. Run it light through schematic design and design development, and hard in construction documents before delivery. Each review checks the set against:
- Your vetted details and standards: is this the version your firm approved, or has it drifted?
- The sheet set itself: callouts that point nowhere, keynotes that miss the legend, references that drift.
- Building codes: IBC, CBC and more, cited down to the section.
- Project specifications: add the spec and the review checks against it.
- Model health: naming, parameters, purge and audit state, file weight.
Nothing changes until a person says so
Every flag names the sheet, the location and the severity, with the standard behind it. Your reviewer confirms, dismisses or escalates it. They can assign it to a teammate, or hand it to Mira, the AI agent for Revit, to make the change in the model. Findings are surfaced, never auto-applied, and a full audit trail records what was flagged, who resolved it and when.
The point is fewer RFIs and less rework. Errors are cheapest to fix in the drawing, not in the field.
"Our QMS is different from most QA/QC drawing checkers in the market, which typically work with exported drawing sets that are disconnected from the Revit model data and often require users to input findings manually," said Ari Baranian, CEO of Pirros.
Built on the platform your firm already uses
The review runs on Mira, the same AI engine your team uses inside Revit for bulk edits, renumbering and sheet setup. Findings surface in the model, not in a PDF. And because the review sits on the AI project hub that already holds your firm's details, families and standards, every check builds on what your firm has already solved.
"When you're working on a school, experience tells you many of the items that require particular attention. This platform can reinforce that process by consistently highlighting relevant items that may warrant another look," said Trent Piazzoni, project architect at Number TEN Architectural Group in Winnipeg and an early beta tester of the system.
See it on a set like yours
The Quality Management System is available now for firms on Pirros. Every review starts from the details, families and standards your firm already keeps there, so the first run checks your set against your own reference, not a generic checklist.
